Refund Policy
bklink is prepaid. You add funds to a wallet, and each action deducts its price at the moment it runs. This page explains when we give money back.
What wallet funds are
Funds in your wallet are service credits — a prepayment for work we have not done yet. To be unambiguous about what that means:
- They are not a deposit account and not legal tender.
- They earn no interest.
- They cannot be transferred to another account, sold, or exchanged for anything other than bklink services.
- They do not expire.
- They are refundable in cash while unspent, as set out below.
Promotional credit is different. Credit we grant you — a signup bonus, or a goodwill credit after a problem — is not a payment you made. It can be spent on services but it is not refundable in cash, and it is removed if the account is closed. Where a balance contains both, refunds come out of the money you paid.
Actions that fail
You are not charged for work we did not do. Every action places a hold on your balance before it starts and settles only when it completes. If it fails, the hold is released automatically and your spendable balance returns to what it was. A hold that is somehow left stranded is swept and released within six hours by an automated job.
If you see a charge for an action that did not produce a result, email us — that is a bug and we will refund it.
Instant indexing
Instant indexing is priced per URL. Before anything is charged we read every page, and a URL that cannot be indexed as it stands — it is gone or unreachable, redirects, declares another canonical, says noindex, is blocked by robots.txt, has too little content, or sits on a site Google lists no page of — is refused and never charged. If our indexer does not accept a batch, nothing is charged.
A URL that is sent is not refunded. We send it to Google's indexing pipeline, usually within minutes, and report it as submitted; Google alone decides whether and when to index a page, so indexing is not guaranteed. Every URL links to a Google search for it, so you can check it yourself.
Indexing requests made before 1 October 2026 keep the terms they were sold under: checked against Google for five days, and refunded automatically if not indexed by then.
Actions that succeed but disappoint
We generally do not refund a completed audit because you did not like the answer. The cost is incurred the moment we fetch the pages and query our data vendors, and a report showing that a backlink profile is worth less than you hoped is the service working, not failing.
We will refund a completed action where the result is wrong because of a defect on our side — for example a report built from data we mis-attributed, or an audit that silently skipped links it was paid to check. Tell us what looks wrong and we will investigate; if we find a defect we will refund the affected actions whether or not you asked us to.
Unused wallet funds
You can request a refund of your unspent balance at any time, for any reason, by emailing support@bklink.uk from the address on your account. We initiate the refund to the original payment method within 10 business days. How long it then takes to appear is up to your bank or card network, which we do not control. We do not charge a fee for this.
- Funds already spent on completed actions are not refundable under this section.
- Held funds for an action still running are refundable once it settles.
- Promotional credit is not refundable in cash.
Consumers in the UK and EU: your 14-day right
If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you normally have 14 days from purchase to cancel a distance contract and get your money back. That right applies here, and in practice our ordinary policy is more generous: your unspent balance is refundable at any time, not only within 14 days.
The exception is work we have already done at your request. When you top up, we ask you to confirm that we may begin providing services immediately once you run an action. Where you have given that confirmation and an audit has run, the 14-day right no longer covers that specific completed action — because the service was delivered, the vendor costs were incurred, and it cannot be handed back. Everything you have not spent remains refundable in full.
To cancel, email support@bklink.uk from the address on your account. You do not need to give a reason and you do not need to use a particular form of words.
Taxes
Prices are shown exclusive of tax unless stated otherwise. Where we are required to collect VAT, GST or sales tax on your purchase, it is calculated and shown at checkout. You are responsible for any other taxes arising from your purchase, except taxes on our own income. If you are a business with a valid VAT or GST registration number, enter it at checkout so the correct treatment is applied.
If you delete your account
Account deletion does not automatically refund an unspent balance. Request the refund first, then delete. If you delete with funds remaining, email us and we will still return them — the payment record is retained after deletion — but it is slower, because we have to match your request to an anonymised record.
Duplicate and unrecognised charges
Contact us before raising a dispute with your bank. We will refund a genuine duplicate in full, quickly, and resolving it directly is faster for you than a chargeback. If you do raise a chargeback, we may suspend the account while it is resolved, where that is reasonably necessary to prevent duplicate reimbursement or fraud. We will not suspend an account merely because you disagreed with us.
How to request a refund
Email support@bklink.uk from the address on your account, with the approximate date and amount, and — if the request is about a specific action — the campaign it relates to. We aim to respond within two business days.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe. We cannot send a refund to a different card or account.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the consumer protection law that applies to you. Where that law gives you a stronger right than this page does, that right applies, and nothing here requires you to give up a right you cannot lawfully give up.
